Nexford University is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). The DEAC is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Internationally recognized
Nexford University is accredited by Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC). ASIC accreditation helps students and parents make a more informed choice and will also help a school, college, university, training provider or distance education provider, demonstrate to the international student body that they are a high quality institution.
ASIC is recognised by UKVI in UK, is a member of the CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG) in USA and is listed in their International Directory, is a member of the BQF (British Quality Foundation) and are institutional members of EDEN (European Distance and E-Learning Network).

Licensed in D.C.
Nexford University is licensed in the District of Columbia by the Higher Education Licensure Commission (HELC) of the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). Nexford serves learners from around the world and in other states within the US where the university is either exempted, approved, or licensed.
Currently, the university is not authorized to offer its programs (and therefore does not enroll students) in the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.


Quality Matters is a nationally recognized peer-review process that certifies the quality of online courses. It has recognized some of Nexford's courses for their commitment to quality assurance.

Nexford has set up a chapter with The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) for its Ambassadors – learners who embody the university’s values and moderate Nexford's Unofficial Facebook Group. NSLS is America’s largest leadership honor society and leadership development program. It is the only program of its kind to have earned accreditation.

Nexford is an American university licensed in Washington DC by HELC. We are also accredited in the US by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), which is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and accredited by Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC), which is an independent body providing accreditation services for independent, further and higher education colleges.
Every employer and university has different policies as to what they recognize and we already have partnerships with multiple well-reputed employers around the world, including in Nigeria, such as MTN, Union Bank, Sterling Bank, Dangote, and IBM, and have thousands of learners and alumni in Nigeria, and have learners from over 85 countries around the world.
