Managerial Accounting and Cost Analysis focuses on the techniques managers use to identify and manage production costs for labor, material, and overhead. Learners engage multiple methods for budgeting and cost reporting, and calculate and interpret variances between budgets and actual results.

What will I learn?
Perform analysis of cost, volume, and profit to calculate contribution margin, break even point, and target operating income
Describe normal and actual job costing systems and activity-based costing
Develop static and flexible budgets
Perform variance analysis between budgets and actual results
Analyze how direct and indirect costs are allocated by identifying cost drivers and relevant costs
Describe major factors impacting cost management decisions and internal and external pricing
Identify management control techniques including working capital management, inventory management, and debtor and creditor management
